Who are we?

Sam & Illia is a soul, pop, and rock band and acoustic duo based out of Columbia, SC. They met while teaching voice and guitar across the hall at a local music lesson studio, and have been making music together ever since. They play a wide variety of tunes from rock, jazz, R&B, blues, pop, and everything in between. We had the pleasure of working with Sam & Ilia and crew for our wedding in December. They were very organized and had a timeline that kept us on track with planning and never made us feel rushed. No seriously though, my wife and I were married in March in Pawleys Island, SC and these two were referred by a professional musician in Columbia, SC. I contacted them and they were willing to work with us on short notice. They were so great in planning and integration to our big day. They sent us a songlist and asked if we wanted them to learn any special tunes for the event. Sam provided beautiful acoustic finger-playing music for the ceremony, ceremonial stage music per our requests and walk-off music. After that we shifted gears into welcoming g guests for a low-key party vibe. They played an awesome selection that we gave them creative rights to choose and they delivered! They knew how to read the room and kept everyone grooving all night. They even played a perfectly crafted rendition of a Tyler Childers song for our private lat dance. These two are pros through and through and I’d highly recommend them for any live music needs! Thanks for making our big night unforgettable!
